Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER Pondicherry) is an Institute of National Importance under the of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. 

JIPMER’s Director, has invited Application from eligible Medical Graduates from Indian Nationals for Recruitment to the post of Junior Resident (NPG) and Junior Resident (NPG) in Dentistry on regular basis for 01 year as per Advertisement Notice No.: Est.2 (11)/2011; Dated 26.09.2011 


Details are as mention below: 
  • Junior Resident (NPG) – Total 48 Posts 
  • Junior Resident (NPG) in Dentistry : 01 Post 
Essential Qualification: (1) A Registered Medical Graduate of a Recognized University (2) Should have completed one year compulsory Internship. 

Pay Scale: The candidates will be paid B/Pay Rs.15600+5,400 GP (revised scale) per month with other allowances inclusive of NPA as admissible under rules. 

Age limits: No upper age limit. 

Please Note: Vacancies may increase or decrease and appointment is subject to the matching of reservation of posts. Present advertisement includes backlog vacancies. 

Selection Process: There will be a written Test (MCQ type) and Viva/Clinical/Practical Exam. 

Application Fee: Demand Draft for Rs.500/ for General and OBC candidates and Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates drawn in favour of Accounts Officer, JIPMER, Puducherry-06 

How to Apply: Interested and Eligible candidates may attend the Written test/Interview to be held on 19.10.2011(08.30 A.M) at Banting Hall, JIPMER, Puducherry, along with filled in application in the prescribed format along with all necessary documents in original and Demand Draft at JIPMER, Puducherry-06. 

Please Note: Following Documents mentioned below should be brought by the candidates at the time of Interview: 
  • MBBS/BDS Degree with no. of attempts certificate 
  • Medical/Dental Council Registration Certificate 
  • MBBS/BDS mark statement in full. 
  • Internship Completion Certificate 
  • Latest SC/ST/OBC (Creamy Layer) Certificate, if he/she belongs to SC/ST/OBC, issued by the Revenue Officer not below the rank of Thasildar. In case the certificate is in regional language, the English version of the certificate duly attested by a Gazetted Officer is also to be furnished. 
  • “No objection Certificate” from the present employer, if employed. 
  • Candidates who have already worked as JR (NPG) & JR (NPG) in Dentistry in any Central Government Hospital/Institution need not apply again.
