Punjab State Power
Corporation Ltd. is a power generating and distributing organization of
Government of Punjab and intends to hire Linemen for purely on contract basis from
the candidates who have completed 2 years Apprenticeship in the trade of
Lineman in PSPCL / PSTCL (erstwhile PSEB) and have passed National
Apprenticeship Certificate for the same.
5000 LINEMEN ON CONTRACT BASIS
Emoluments: Rs.10, 000/- consolidated per month
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidates
should meet with the following qualifications: (i) Matriculation or equivalent
qualification and National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade.
(ii) The
candidates who possess higher education as Diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Degree
pass will be considered only if they have minimum qualifications as National
Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade. (iii) The candidates who have
passed successfully National Apprenticeship Training Certificate test in the
trade of Lineman. (iv)The candidates must have done 2 years Apprenticeship in
PSPCL/ PSTCL or erstwhile PSEB.
KNOWLEDGE OF PUNJABI:
The candidates
must have passed Punjabi at least up to Metric Standard by last date of receipt
of application. In case of November, 1984 riots affected Sikh migrant
candidates, relaxation is allowed to pass examination within two years from the
date of joining this post.
AGE LIMIT:
18 to 37 years as
on 1.1.2011. Upper age limit is relaxed able as admissible under rules/
instructions of PSPCL/PSTCL/ Punjab Govt.
SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection will be
made purely on merit basis. The merit will be made as per marks
Obtained in
National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman trade. The percentage marks
obtained shall be rounded off to the nearest 2nd decimal digit for
preparing the merit. No weight age shall be given for higher qualifications.

Application Fee of
Rs.206/- (non refundable including Rs.6/- as bank charges) in any State bank of
Patiala Branch, Last date of depositing the fee in the bank: 17.2.2011
