Steel Authority of India, is a Government of India Enterprise, is looking for competent Personnel for Recruitment on Various Operator-Cum-Technician Trainee (OCTT) Positions at VISVESVARAYA Iron & Steel Plant, BHADRAVATI, a unit of Steel Authority of India Limited – Eligible candidates may submit their Application ONLINE before 09 February 2012

Name of the Position – Operator-Cum-Technician Trainee (OCTT) 

Number of Positions – Total 49 Vacancies (In Various Disciplines mentioned below)

• Diploma in Mechanical (General) – 21 Seats 

• Diploma in Metallurgy – 21 Seats 

• Diploma in Electrical & Electronics – 06 Seats 

• Diploma in Instrumentation – 01 Seat 

Age Limits: Candidates must be between 18 to 33 years of age as on 01-11-2012 (Age Relaxation will be applicable as per rules) 

Pay Scale: During Training Period – First Year: RS. 8250/- | Second Years: RS. 9350/- | and After Training Period Pay Scale of: S-3 RS. Rs.9160 - 3% - 13150/- + other benefits as applicable. 

Essential Qualifications: Applicants must have Passed in Matriculation and, having Three years full time Diploma in Engineering in Metallurgy / Mechanical (General) / Electrical and Electronics / Instrumentation Technology. 

Selection Process: Selection on Operator-Cum-Technician Trainee (OCTT) will be done on the basis of performance in written test, Interview and Medical examination. 

Application Fee: Non-refundable Fee of Rs.250/- only for General and OBC category candidates; and Rs.50/- only for SC/ST/PH candidates; Application Fee should be paid in the form of Demand Draft in favour of – SAIL-VISL, Payable at Bhadravathi-577 301, SHIVAMOGGA District, Karnataka State and drawn on any Nationalized Bank.
