SSC Online Recruitment for Scientific Assistant in Meteorological Dept. 2011

Staff Selection Commission Madhya Pradesh Region will make All India Open Examination recruitment to the posts of SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT IN THE INDIAN METEOROLOGICAL DEPARTMENT. The selection process will comprise of a Written Examination followed by Interview 

Details are given below: 

• Name of the Position – Scientific Assistant – Total 465 Seats (UR: 230; OBC: 128; SC: 70; ST: 37; OH: 10; HH: 10)

Nationality Eligibility: (a) A citizen of India, or (b) A subject of Nepal, or (c) A subject of Bhutan, or (d) A Tibetan refugee or, (e) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him/her by the Government of India. 

Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Science (with Physics as one of the subject)/Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications or Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized Institution/University/ Distance Education Mode needs to be recognized by Distance Education Council, IGNOU. 

Age Limits: Not exceeding 30 years as on 28.10.2011 (Age relaxation will be applicable is per law please see detailed advertisement) 

Application Fee: Non-Refundable fee of Rs. 100/- (no fee for SC/ST/WOMEN candidates) should be paid through State Bank of India challan 

Selection process: Candidates will be shortlisted for the Interview on the basis of their performance in the Written Examination & Personality Test (Interview) Total 500 marks; PART-I - Written Examination carrying 400 marks; and PART-II - Personality Test (Interview) carrying 100 Marks.
