Age Limits: 18 - 25 years as on 01.01.2012. No age relaxation is permissible.
Essential Qualification: Pass in Matriculation or ITI or its equivalent from a recognized board.
Eligibility Conditions: Sportspersons desirous of applying for the above posts must have represented the country in Olympic Games (Senior Category)
- OR Obtained at least 3rd position in the International championships/events in either World Cup (Junior/Senior Category) or World Championships (Junior/Senior Category) or Asian Games (Senior Category) or Commonwealth Games (Senior Category)
- OR Obtained at least 3rd position in either Commonwealth Games (Junior/Senior Category) or Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category) or South Asian Federation Games (Senior Category) or USIC Championships(Senior Category)
- OR Obtained at least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships
- OR Obtained at least 3rd position in National Games organized under aegis of Indian Olympic Association.
- OR Obtained at least 3rd position in All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities
- OR Obtained 1st position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category)
- OR Obtained at least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category)
- OR Represented State or equivalent Unit, except in Marathon and Cross Country in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championship.
- OR Obtained at least 3rd position in Senior State Championships for all units and Districts of the state
Selection Process: The recruitment will be based on trials, assessment of sports achievements and general intelligence/personality etc.
Application Fee: Rs. 40/- for General/OBC Candidates (No Fee for SC/ST/PH/Women Candidates) shall be paid in the form of Indian Postal Order from any Post office or demand draft from any Nationalize Bank drawn in favour of and payable at as follows:
- In respect of HQrs quota post: FA & CAO, South Western Railway, Hubli and payable at Hubli.
- In respect of Hubli Division quota post: Sr.DFM, Hubli & payable at Hubli.
- In respect of Bangalore Division quota post: Sr.DFM, Bangalore & payable at Bangalore.
- In respect of Mysore Division quota post: Sr.DFM, Mysore & payable at Mysore.
How to Apply: Application Along with All the Educational / Professional / Experience and Caste / Category Documents & application fee (IPO) shall be submitted to the below given zonal offices before closing date:
- In respect of HQrs quota: Senior Personnel Officer/E, Personnel department, South Western Railway Headquarters, 1st Floor, Zonal Headquarters Building, Opposite to Rail Nagar, Gadag Road, Hubli-580020.
- In respect of Hubli Division quota posts: Sr. Divisional Personnel officer, DRM’s Office Compound, Personnel Branch, S.W.Railway, Hubli Division, Hubli-580 020.
- In respect of Bangalore Division quota posts: Sr. Divisional Personnel officer, DRM’s Office Complex, 2nd Floor, Personnel Branch, S.W. Railway, Bangalore Division, Bangalore-560 023.

Please Note: The last date gor application submission is on or before 08.11.2011; and for those candidates who are applying from Far Remote Areas is 23.11.2011.
