Punjab Police has invited Application from Male and female candidates for filling up of the 3726 of Male and 2000 Female posts in the District Police Cadre in the rank of constable in Punjab Police.

- Male Constables = Total 3726 Seats {Bathinda: 170; Muktsar: 243; Mansa: 200; Ferozpur: 125; Moga: 197; Fazilka: 165; Patiala: 120; Barnala: 124; SAS Nagar: 200; Sangrur: 288; Ludhiana Rural: 144; Khanna: 67; Ropar: 28; Jalandhar Rural: 492; SBS Nagar: 154; Kapurthala: 96; Amritsar C.P: 188; Ludhiana C.P: 188; Jalandhar C.P: 382}
- Female Constables = Total 2000 Seats {IGP Zone Bathinda: 600; IGP Zone Patiala: 400; IGP Zone Jalandhar: 700; IGP Zone Border: 300}
Pay Scale: PB-2 Rs. 5910-20200/- + GP Rs. 2000/- + other allowances as admissible under Govt. instructions/rules.
Age Limits: Candidates must be between 18 to 25 Years as on 01-01-2011 (Age Relaxation will be applicable as per rules)
Essential Qualification: The minimum educational qualification for recruitment is 10+2 in any discipline or equivalent. It is compulsory for each candidate to have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as compulsory/optional subject. However, in case of Ex-Servicemen the minimum educational qualification will be matriculation.
Place of Duty: Selected candidate(s) can be deployed anywhere in Punjab, India and even abroad.
Selection Process: Selection shall be made by the District Recruitment Board in case of male candidates and Central recruitment Board for females’ candidates. Selection process would comprise of three phases (A) Physical Measurement (B) Physical Efficiency Test (C) Interview.Application Fee: Account Payee, Demand Draft amounting to Rs. 100/- in favour of “Chairman, District Recruitment Board (__________________) (Name of District for which the applicant applies) payable at _____________________ (District concerned).
