CESS Research Scientist B Vacancy in R&D Centre for Earth Science Kerala

Centre for Earth Science Studies (CESS) is a R&D Centre established by Government of Kerala in 1978 to carry out research on various disciplines of Earth Sciences. This institute is recognized by Kerala University, MG University and Cochin University for doing PhD programmes. 

CESS has invited Application from dynamic result-oriented candidates for Various Posts of Scientists B as per the following details given here: 

• (Post No: 3.3) Scientist-B {Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Physics/Atmospheric Sciences; Ph.D. in Physics/Atmospheric Sciences} Desirable: Experience in Atmospheric Electricity/Cloud Physics. 

• (Post No: 3.4) Scientist B {Essential Qualifications: MA/MSc in Geography; PhD in Geography} Desirable: Experience in Geomorphology/Terrain Analysis/ Land use/Natural Resources Management/River Basin Analysis/Remote Sensing-GIS 

• (Post No: 3.5) Scientist B {Essential Qualifications: MSc in Geophysics; PhD in Geophysics/Geology} Desirable: Experience in Seismology 

• (Post No: 3.6) Scientist B {Essential Qualifications: MSc in Geology; PhD in Geology} Desirable: Experience in Natural Hazards. 

• (Post No: 3.8) Scientist B {Essential Qualifications: MSc Physics / Geophysics / Mathematics; PhD in Atmospheric/ Oceanic /Geophysical/Fluid Dynamics/Climate Modelling} Desirable: Experience in Hydrodynamic/Fluid Dynamic/Climate Modelling. 

• (Post No: 3.9) Scientist B {Essential Qualifications: MSc in Geology; PhD in Geology} Desirable: Experience in Palau-magnetism 

• (Post No: 3.12) Scientist B {Essential Qualifications: 1st class M Lib and one year experience as Librarian after M Lib} Desirable: Experience in handling library software.

Age Limits: Maximum 35 years as on 30.11.2011. Relaxation of age limit and other concessions, for the Candidates belongs to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Class candidates in accordance with the orders issued by the Government from time to time will be applicable. 

Pay Scale: Selected Candidates will be in Pay Band -3 /Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs.5400/- In addition to Basic pay, DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, CCA, Gratuity, Professional Update Allowance etc. at CSIR rates are also admissible.
