Indian Navy Recruitment for Engineers SSC Executive/Technical Branch 2012

The Indian Navy Invites Application from Un-Married Male & Female Engineers to Join the Indian Navy as Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSC) in Executive Branch (General Services) and Technical Branches of the Indian Navy for Jul 2012 Course at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. Candidates to fulfil conditions of nationality as lay down by the Government of India.

• Technical (General Services) Branch (‘E’ & ‘L’) – Age Limits: 19½ to 25 years 

• Submarine Cadre (‘E’ & ‘L’) – Age Limits: 19½ to 25 years 

• Naval Architecture Cadre – Age Limits: 21 to 25 Years 

• Executives – Age Limits: 19½ to 25 years 

Pay Scales: 

Sub Lieutenant (SLt): PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100; Grade Pay: Rs. 5400; MSP: Rs. 6000 

Lieutenant (Lt): PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100; Grade Pay: Rs 6000; MSP: 6000 

Lieutenant Commander (Lt Cdr): PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100; Grade Pay: Rs 6600; MSP: Rs. 6000 

Commander (Cdr): PB-4 Rs. 37400-67000; Grade Pay: Rs. 8000; MSP: Rs. 6000 

Note: Allowances (as applicable). The rates of allowances applicable to officers as per Central Govt Rules.

Essential Qualification: BE/B. Tech Engineering Degree qualified with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognised university in - Mechanical / Marine / Automobile / Mechtronics / Industrial & Production / Metallurgy / Aeronautical / Aerospace / Control / Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunication / Instrumentation / Electronics & Instrumentation / Electronics & Communications / Power Engineering / Control System Engineering / Power Electronics / Computer Science Engineering.

Physical Strength: The candidates should not be colour/night blind & must be physically fit according to following physical standards: (a) Height and Weight; Minimum height for male -157 cm and for female - 152 cm with correlated weight; With Appropriate Eyesight with or without glasses. 

Selection Process: The candidates will be issued call up for Services Selection Board (SSB) based on their performance in Degree Course. If a candidate possesses higher qualification with better percentage, his higher qualification will be considered for cut off; SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore / Bhopal Coimbatore during Nov 2011 - May 2012.

Short Service Commission: Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirement and performance/willingness of the candidate.
