Indian Coast Guard has Invited Applications from male Indian nationals for recruitment to the post of Navik (General Duty) and Navik (Domestic Branch) in the Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union. 

Details for IGC Recruitment vacancy 2011 are given below:

• Navik - General Duty {Pay Scale: Rs. 5200 – 20200 + Grade pay Rs.2000} 
• Navik - Domestic Branch (Cook & Steward) {Pay Scale: Rs. 5200 – 20200 + Grade Pay Rs.1900} 

Age Limits: Navik - GD (Born between 01 Feb 1990 to 31 Jan 1994) & Navik- DB (Born between 01 Apr 1990 to 31 Mar 1994) Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates 

Educational Qualification: 10+2 with Maths and Physics | Matriculate from an education board recognised by Central/State Government 

Selection Criteria:Selection of candidates will be based on the order of merit depending on their performance in Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Fitness in the Medical Examinations.
