The Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), Roorkee, a constituent unit of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi is a Nation’s premiere Institute in the area of Building Science & Technology entrusted with the responsibility of generating, cultivating and promoting innovative research in building science and technology.
CSIR-CBRI invites applications from Indian Nationals, who are young, dynamic, self-motivated, and talented and experienced with adequate leadership qualities and have consistently excellent academic record in the Area of : Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, & Mechanical Engineering, details for the Posts are given below:
- Scientist - 20 Posts {10-UR, 3-SC, 5-OBC, 2-ST - out of these 20 posts, one post is reserved for PWD}
Age limit: Candidates must not exceed 32 years.
Essential Qualification: Ph.D. (Thesis submitted/Awarded) in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, & Mechanical Engineering, M.E./ M. Tech. or equivalent in Civil/ Environmental Engineering/ Geotechnical Engineering/ Structural Engineering etc.
Selection Process: The prescribed essential qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same will not vest any right in a candidate for being called for interview. Where number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to interview all the candidates. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit after scrutiny by a duly constituted Screening Committee on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the Advertisement. The Screening Committee can adopt its own criteria to shortlist the candidates. The candidate should, therefore, mention in the application, all the qualifications in the relevant field over and above the minimum prescribed qualification supported with documents. A screening test may also be conducted for short-listing the candidates for interview if it is considered necessary.
