The Indian Agricultural Research Institute is the country’s premier national Institute for agricultural research, education and extension. It has the status of a ‘Deemed-tobe-University’ under the UGC Act of 1956, and awards M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in various agricultural disciplines.

The Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi intends to recruit the outstanding personnel for post of Research Fellow in the following project purely on contractual basis. A detail of the position is given below: 

• Post Doctorate Fellow (PDF): 02 Posts; Pay Scale: Rs. 24000/-plus HRA; Qualifications: Ph.D. in Genetics/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Plant Breeding/ Biotechnology 
• Senior Research Fellow: 01 Post; Pay Scale: Rs. 14000/-plus HRA; Qualification: M.Sc. in Genetics and/ or Plant Breeding/ Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology / Biotechnology/ Life sciences from a reputed university and NET/ equivalent like GATE qualified 
• Senior Research Fellow: 01 Post; Pay Scale: Rs. 14000/- plus HRA; Qualification: M.Sc. in Genetics and/ or Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant breeding/ Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology / Biotechnology/ Plant Genetic Resources/ Botany/ Life sciences/ Biochemistry from a reputed university and NET/ equivalent like GATE qualified 
• Senior Research Fellow: 01 Post; Pay Scale: Rs. 14000/- plus HRA; Qualification: M.Sc. in Genetics and/ or Plant Breeding/ Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology / Biotechnology/ Life sciences from a reputed university and NET/ equivalent like GATE qualified 
• Senior Research Fellow: 01 Post; Pay Scale: Rs 16000/- plus HRA; Qualification: M.Sc. in Genetics and/ or Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant breeding/ Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology / Biotechnology / Plant Genetic Resources/ Botany/ Life sciences 
• Senior Research Fellow: 01 Post; PayScale: Rs 16000/- plus HRA; Qualification: M.Sc. (Ag.) in Genetics and/or plant Breeding/Molecular Biology and/or Biotechnology with working experience on use of molecular markers. 

Age limit: Maximum age 35 years for SRF and 40 years for PDF (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC).

Walk in Interview: The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 31st May, 2011 at 10.00 A.M. in the chamber of Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi 110012. 

Please Note:The candidates will have to bring a copy of bio-data (signed), original certificates, and attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview. Senior Administrative Office
