ARIES (an acronym of Aryabhatta Research Institute of observational sciences) is one of the leading research Institutes which specializes in observational Astronomy & Astrophysics and Atmospheric Sciences. The main research interests of Astronomy & Astrophysics division are in solar, planetary, stellar, galactic and extra-galactic astronomy including stellar variabilities, X-ray binaries, star clusters, nearby galaxies, quasars, and inherently transient events like supernovae and highly energetic gamma ray bursts. Research focus in Atmospheric Sciences division is mainly in the lower part of the atmosphere and covers the studies on aerosols and trace gases. Moreover, to strengthen the scientific contribution Institute has extended its horizon to theoretical and numerical studies in Relativistic.

ARIES has invited following vacancies for filling up their vacant positions. Posts are as following given below:

01. Deputy Registrar:

Pay Band: Pay Band-3: Rs. 15600-39100, Grade Pay: Rs. 6600

Age limit: Below 45 years.

Minimum and Desirable qualifications:

Essential: (i) Masters Degree in Commerce/Financial Management or equivalent in finance with consistently good Academic record. (ii) At least 3 years experience in the Finance/Accounts including Establishment matters in Central Govt. /Autonomous organization or Academic Research Institutes in supervisory capacity for 3 years with grade pay Rs. 5400/- or for 5 years with grade pay Rs. 4800/-. The individual should have experience, in dealing with Annual Budget/expenditure control/, Annual Accounts/Auditing & Audit report, purchase cases, civil construction bills/contract management, pension matters and all other contingent and misc. cases etc.  (iii) The candidates should possess necessary skills & experience of finance and Accounts work in computerized environment with knowledge of Tally/Accounts related software. (iv) The preference will be given to experienced SAS passed candidates.

2. Engineer 'B' (Optics/Instrumentation)

Pay Band: Pay Band-3: Rs. 15600-39100, Grade Pay: Rs. 5400/-

Age limit: Below 35 years.                               

Minimum and Desirable qualifications:

Essential: (1) 50% Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology in

electrical/electronics/optics/instrumentation/computer/ information technology/mechanical

OR

First class Master degree in Physics followed by M.Tech./M.E. in electronics/optics/instrumentation. 2- One year experience in optical instrumentation. 3-Expertise in computer programming/softwares.

Desirable: Knowledge of astronomical instrumentation.

3. Engineering Assistant 'A'

Pay Band: Pay Band-1:  Rs. 5200-20200, Grade Pay: Rs. 2400

Age limit: Below 35 years.

Minimum and Desirable qualifications:

Essential: ITI trade certificate in welding from a reputed Institute. Experience: Minimum 5 years industrial experience in arc and gas welding of similar and dissimilar metals with knowledge of inspection and quality control of welded components

4. Engineering Assistant 'A'

Pay Band: Pay Band-1:  Rs. 5200-20200, Grade Pay: Rs. 2400

Age limit: Below 35 years.

Minimum and Desirable qualifications:

Essential: ITI trade certificate in turning from a reputed Institute. Experience: Minimum 5 years industrial experience in CNC/Conventional turning of high precision jobs with knowledge of inspection and quality control of manufactured components.
