Kolkata Police will hold a Combined Competitive Examination in 2012, at Kolkata for filling up the posts of Sub-Inspector, Lady Sub-Inspector, and Sergeant Positions which will be initially made on a temporary basis.
Details for Kolkata Police Recruitment 2012 – as per the official Employment Notice No.: 03/2012/KPRB (ORC); is given below:
- Sub-Inspector – Total 137 Vacancies
- Lady Sub-Inspector – Total 15 Vacancies
- Sergeant – Total 684 Vacancies
Age Limits: Candidates must not be below 20 years and not above 27 years on 01-01-2012 (relaxation in upper age limits will be applicable)
Essential Qualifications: Applicants must have completed a Graduation Degree in any Discipline from a recognized University in India; with knowledge to Speak, Read, and Write in Bengali.
Physical Standards: (A) Sub-Inspectors: (i) Male Candidates: - Height: 1.67 meters – Weight: 51.5 kg – Chest: Min 79 cm – Vision: According to Health Manual; (ii) For Lady Sub-Inspector: - Height: 1.60 meters – Weight: 45 kg – Chest: N/A – Vision: According to Health Manual.
(B) Sergeant: - Height: 1.73 meters – Weight: 63 kg – Chest: Minimum 86.36 cm – Vision: According to Health Manual.
Selection Process: Selection will be done on the basis of Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Written Examination, and Personality Test
Application Fee: Rs.150/- only in the form of A/c payee Demand Draft from any Nationalized Bank or IPO in favour of ‘Kolkata Police Recruitment Board’ (KPRB), payable at Kolkata.
