SSC Constables in CAPFs & Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Recruitment 2012

Staff Selection Commission will make recruitment to the Posts of Constables (GD) in ITBPF, BSF, CISF, CRPF, and SSB and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles eligible Candidates having the right aptitude, capability and fitness in all respects may apply for the posts, Details for this Vacancy is given below:

• Constables – Male (General Duty) – Total 39574 Posts {Assam Rifles: 6060; BSF: 10640; CISF: 2250; CRPF: 10189; SSB: 4691; ITBP: 5744 Posts}

• Constables – Female (General Duty) – Total 2848 Posts {BSF: 2574; CISF: 250; CRPF: 51 Posts}

Pay Scale: PB-I Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/- 

Nationality/Citizenship: A candidate must be a citizen of India to apply for this post. 

Age Limits: 18-23 years as on 01.08.2012. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 01.08.1989 and not later than 01.08.1994. 

Essential Qualification: Matriculation or 10th class pass is the minimum educational qualification. 

Physical standards:

a) Height: For Males: 170 CMs; For Females: 157 CMs. 

b) Chest: For Males only – Unexpanded: 80 CMs; Expanded: Min expansion 5 CMs. 

c) Weight: For males and Females: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards 

Physical Efficiency Test: 

Male Candidates: 

(a) Long Jump: 11 feet (Three chances to be given) 

(b) High Jump: 3 1/2 feet (Three chances to be given) 

Female Candidates: 

(a) Long Jump: 9 feet (Three chances to be given) 

(b) High Jump: 3 feet (Three chances to be given) 

PET will not be held for Ex-servicemen. However, they will be required to qualify in the Medical Examination. 

Medical Standards: 

(a) Eye Sight: The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 & 6/9 of 2 eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses. The candidate should possess high COLOUR VISION. 

(b) The candidates must not have knock Knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes, bow legs, inability to close the left eye, inability to flex the fingers properly and any other obvious deformities. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect which is likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties. 

The Tentative Schedule for Recruitment is: 

PST/PET (Physical Test): February to March, 2012 

Written Examination: 22nd April, 2012 

Medical Examination: June-July, 2012 

Declaration of Result: 30th September, 2012
