Pay Scale: Rs. 20740 – 36140/- (Other Allowance  as applicable by the rules)

Age Limits: 19 to 32 Years as on 02-01-1983 and 01-01-1992 (both dates are included) are eligible to apply for this post. 

Essential Qualification: Candidates must possess a Degree in Science or Engineering from a University, Institution or Deemed University recognized by Government of India or Government of Kerala with at least one of the main Subject as Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Application/Computer science, Engineering (Agriculture / Chemical / Civil / Computer / Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical), Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology 

Selection Process: Selection will be done on the basis of Physical Efficiency Test / Written Examination Test / & Walking Test. those candidates who are qualified in the written examination and physical efficiency tests will be required to present themselves for an interview at the time and place fixed by the Commission.

The selected candidates shall be required to undergo 18 months Forest Rangers Course during 2011-2012 in any one of the State Forest Service Colleges under the Directorate of Forest Education, Government of India, Dehradun and one year practical training in the department.
