Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is holding a Combined Higher Secondary All India Open Examination on 04 December 2011, for recruitment to the Post of Data Entry Operators & Lower Division Clerks in the various Central Government Ministries, Departments & Offices, Details are as given here:
  • Lower Division Clerks-LDC (Group C)
  • Data Entry Operators-DEO (Group C)
Required Qualification: Must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent or higher examination from a recognised Board or University.

Nationality/Citizens: Citizen of India or (ii) A subject of Nepal or (iii) A subject of Bhutan or (iv) A Tibetan Refugee (v) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Pay Scale: PB-I Rs. 5200 – 20200/- + GP 1900 for Lower Division Clerks; & PB-I Rs. 5200 – 20200 + GP Rs. 2400 for Data Entry Operators

Age Limits: Between 18 to 27 years as on 01-08-2011 (Age Relaxation will be applicable as per rules see Detailed Advertisement)

Selection Process: The Examination will comprise of a Written Objective Type Examination followed by Data Entry Skill Test / Typing Test Selection will be through Written Test & Skill Test/Typing Test.

Application Fee: Non-refundable fee of Rs.100/- for GEN/OBC Candidates (No Fee for SC/ST/PH/EXS candidates) shall be paid through Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS) available at all designated Head Post Offices / Post Offices, OR Shall be paid through Bank Challan Form in any branch of State Bank of India (SBI).
