The Institute of Bioresearches and Sustainable Development (IBSD) is one of the autonomous institutes under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, and Govt. of India. The objective of IBSD is to develop and utilize the rich bioresources of the Northeastern Region of the country through the application of modern tools of biology and biotechnology. Currently the Institute has its Headquarters in Imphal, Manipur and a Regional Centre in Gangtok, Sikkim. The institute invites application for the following posts in its Headquarters at Imphal and Regional Centre at Gangtok:

POSTS IN IBSD HEADQUARTERS AT IMPHAL, MANIPUR

1. One Scientist – E: (Plant Biotechnology/Plant Molecular Biology); Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000+GP 8700; Age: 55 years
2. One Scientist – E: (Natural Product Chemistry); Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000+GP 8700; Age: 55 years
3. One Scientist – E: (Aquaculture); Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000+GP 8700; Age: 55 Years
4. One Scientist – C: (Natural Product Chemistry); Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100+GP 6600; Age: 35 years
5. One Scientist – C: (Economic Entomology); Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100+GP 6600; Age: 35 years
6. One Stores and Purchase Officer (on contractual basis); Salary Structure: Rs. 20,000/- p.m. (Consolidated); Age: 40 years

POSTS IN REGIONAL CENTRE OF IBSD AT GANGTOK, SIKKIM

The IBSD has recently established its Regional Centre in Gangtok, Sikkim with an aim of sustainable development and utilization of bioresources of the Eastern Himalayas including generation of appropriate technology packages leading to development of bio-enterprises in the region. The institute invites applications for the following contractual positions in its Regional Centre in Gangtok, Sikkim:

1. One Scientist –  (Plant Bio-resources); Salary Structure: Rs. 48,000/- p.m. (Consolidated); Age: 50 years
2. One Scientist – (Microbial Resources); Salary Structure: Rs. 30,000/- p.m. (Consolidated); Age: 35 Years
3. One Administrative Officer; Salary Structure: Rs. 25,000/- p.m. (Consolidated); Age: 40 years
