A Common Written Examination (CWE) will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) as a pre-requisite for selection of personnel for Clerical cadre posts in 19 public sector Banks (Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Corporation Bank, Dena Bank, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, Syndicate Bank, UCO Bank, Union Bank of India, United Bank of India, and Vijaya Bank)
Essential Qualification: Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government OR A pass with 60% marks in the aggregate in Matriculation/SSC (old pattern)/SSLC/10th std. Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EXSM candidates a pass in the aggregate in Matriculation/SSC (old pattern)/SSLC/10th std. Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent.
Eligible Nationality/Citizens: Citizen of India or (ii) A subject of Nepal or (iii) A subject of Bhutan or (iv) A Tibetan Refugee (v) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Test of Reasoning 50 Marks
Test of English Language 50 Marks
Test of Numeric Ability 50 Marks
Test of General Awareness with Reference to Banking Industry 50 Marks
Test of Computer Knowledge 50 Marks Total 250 Number of Question with 250 Marks Total Time is 150 Minutes (Note: Negative Marking will be applicable)
Score Card: IBPS will print the Score Cards which will be valid for 1 (ONE year from date of Issue) for each of the qualifying candidates only, and will send the same by Registered/ Speed post to each candidate at the correspondence address specified during application submission.
