Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board HPSSSB, Hamirpur has invited prescribed Application from eligible Candidates for the posts of Trained Graduate Teacher (Arts, Non-Medical, and Medical), Shastri and Language Teacher through Teachers Eligibility Test (TET 2011)


Validity of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET Certificate):-The TET qualifying certificate would remain valid for appointment for 7 years from the date of issuance of TET certificate. There will be no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a TET certificate. A person who has qualified TET may also appear again for improving his/her score. 
Details for Minimum eligibility conditions for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) are given below: 
  • Trained Graduate Teachers (Arts) – (BA / B.Com / B. El. Ed with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed) 
  • Trained Graduate Teachers (Non-Medical) - BSc (NM) with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed) OR B. Sc (NM) with at least 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed)/ B. El. Ed 
  • Trained Graduate Teachers (Medical) - B. Sc (Medical) with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed) OR B. Sc (Medical) with at least 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed) in accordance with NCTE 
  • Shastri - Shastri with 50% marks from an institution/University recognized by H.P. Government. 
  • Language Teacher – MA / BA with Hindi as an elective subject from a recognized University with 50% marks in Hindi or its equivalent. 
Eligibility Relaxation: Relaxation up to 5% in the minimum eligibility criteria of marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes & Physically handicapped candidates. 

Age Limits: There is no upper age limit to apply for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). 

Minimum Qualifying Marks: The minimum qualifying marks in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is 60%. 

Date & Exam Center: Tentative dates for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) examination are 27th November, 2011 for TGT (Arts) morning session TGT (Non-Medical) and TGT (Medical) evening session and 4th December, 2011 for Language Teacher morning session and Shastri evening session. The TET examination will be conducted in all the District Headquarters except District Lahaul & Spiti. 

Application Fee: Rs. 500/- for General category candidates & Rs. 200/- SC/ST/OBC/BPL/IRDP/Ward of Freedom Fighters and Ward of Ex-servicemen (No Fee for Ex-servicemen and visually handicapped candidates) 
Shall be paid either through Bank Draft or crossed Indian Postal Order payable to the Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board, Hamirpur HP at Hamirpur. 

How to Apply: The application forms complete in all respect should reach to the Secretary, 
Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board, Hamirpur HP-177001 on or before 17th October, 2011 
For the candidates residing in district Lahaul and Spiti, District Kinnaur, Pangi and Bharmour Sub Division of Chamba District and Dodra Kwar Sub-Division of Shimla District on or before 31st October, 2011.
