Indian Bank; Government of Indian Undertaking is a leading Public Sector Bank; Inviting online applications from Indian Citizens who have taken the Common Written Examination (CWE) for PROBATIONARY OFFICERS conducted by IBPS in September/November 2011 and have a valid Score card issued by IBPS.
As per the Official Employment Notice – Vacancies in Indian Bank for Probationary Officers 2011-12 eligibility details are mentioned below: -
- Name of the Position: - Probationary Officer (PO)
Number of Vacancies: - Total 452 Vacancies {SC: 69 – ST: 52 – OBC: 117 – UR: 214 – PWD: 19 Seats}
Pay Scale: RS.14500 – 25700 + Grade Pay + applicable allowances per month as per GOI Rules.
Age Limits: 21 to 30 Years of age as on 01-07-2011 (Relaxation in upper age limit to eligible reserved Category Candidates; will be extended as per Government guidelines)
Essential Qualifications: Graduation Degree in any discipline from a University recognized by Government of India. Technical qualification (BE, B Tech, MBA etc.) shall be from an institution accredited by AICTE/ UGC.
Desired Qualifications: Candidates should have obtained the valid IBPS scores in the Common Written Examination (CWE) conducted for Probationary Officers in 2011.
Total Weighted Standard Score (TWS): - General Category: Minimum 141 - Reserved Category (SC/ST/OBC/PWD): Minimum 116 Mark
Selection Process: Selection for the post of Probationary Officer will be based on the Total Weighted Standard Score (TWS) in the common written examination (CWE) conducted by IBPS in Sept / Nov,2011 and the marks scored in the interview and/or Group Discussion.
Probation Period: Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years.
Application Fee: Non-refundable fee of Rs.200/- only for all others (including OBC); and Rs.50/- only for Reserved Category (SC/ST/PWD) – Fee Shall be paid in cash through Bank Challan only; at any branch of INDIAN BANK.
